smile because it happened.'

As the time for changeover has
arrived, the feeling of the term getting over encompasses our minds. The
journey started almost a year back and time has flown so fast that we didn’t
realize that it is time to hand over the charge to the forthcoming Chairman.
But yes, as aptly pointed out in
the above quote, we are smiling with utmost satisfaction that we tried to give
our best. For us, the journey was worth undertaking. Starting from the point of
conceiving an idea, then planning the basics, executing it, running over
through the minute details of handling an event, preparing back-up plans, etc.,
it was an exercise to strain one’s brains to the maximum and evolve out
efficiently amidst all the pressures. It was thoroughly an enjoyable journey filled
with tensions and reliefs; with learning embedded to the core.
The term saw the start of some
unique activities like posting 5-6 words with their meanings everyday on Jamnagar
WICASA’s Facebook page. Other endeavors were to start revisionary lectures for
the students who were appearing for their exams, conducting study circle meets
on Goods & Services Tax, compiling issues on ICDS, preparing a compilation
on Suggestions and Observations given by mock test paper Checkers, etc.
On the societal front, the team made
its nanoscopic efforts to contribute to the gross national happiness by
visiting the old age homes and spending time with the old and lonely on the
occasion of Father’s day, distribution of toys & sweets to the hospitalized
children on the occasion of Diwali, planting pots on Environment day, etc.
An initiative of starting
‘PROJECT BUDDY’ was taken up on 26th January, 2017, wherein a
student who is willing to get a command over his/her weakness can overcome the
weakness with the support from a buddy, since we tend to lack self-motivation
at times.
Definitely, a journey always
has its share of ups and downs, and the same way, we also had our share. Unexpected
situations, sometimes, lead to frustration but with conflicts, we evolve, WE GROW & WE LEARN. Thus,
it was a journey of self-evolution and of pushing one’s limits by endurance.
Though we six of us (my five
teammates and me) are ONE unit
for the working of WICASA, but at this juncture, I would like to specifically
convey my heartfelt thanks to all five of my flamboyant teammates – Jeet, Pooja, Jignesh, Ravina
& Dhwani - for constantly withstanding me, my decisions and for being
strikingly spirited in conducting all the activities. Kudos to them for making
efforts to come out of their comfort zones and for working passionately for the
benefit of students fraternity at large. I am sure the journey has been exhaustive;
nevertheless, it has been a learning experience for them all. The most onerous
duty of a Leader is to cultivate other leaders. I am sure, in these 5, the CA
Fraternity will get deserving leaders in times to come.
On behalf of the whole team, I
would like to thank the Branch pillars - Sanjaybhai and Bhaveshbhai, Branch Managing
Committee Members, all Seniors and Contemporaries for guiding us and lending
their support whenever and wherever required.
We hope that the trust reposed
by you all on this Committee has fetched fruitful and cherishable results and
that we have been able to withstand your expectations to a great extent.
With the changeover taking place,
I wish the coming Chairman the very best in all his future endeavors.
With utmost gratitude and feeling
of satisfaction, I sign off as WICASA Chairperson for the term 2016-17.
